taking care of the place
global weirding
Yesterday I accompanied a friend to a medical specialist who has been urging invasive and ill-tested procedures, saying, “Don’t you want to go with the science?” We were talking about the weather, to cover an uncomfortable examination. The doctor pointed out that in Europe it has actually been colder lately. He said, “So much for global warming. I mean, are you into that?”
Ignorance abounds.
And yet, he’s a believer in foisting science on people, because science.
as a rule, i don’t like Drs, they are so institutionalised in their own beliefs that anything outside of their own thinking, doesn’t exist or work. Being in health for over 20 years has reinforced this.
Scientific wishful thinking
Being an expert in one field does not qualify one as an expert in any other… something Fox “News” seems to forget (or it just doesn’t care).
That is so true. But… I just can’t get past this: doesn’t being a believer in Science predispose you to believe in… science?
He should at least know the difference between weather and climate. It’s pretty basic stuff.
That’s what I was thinking! Uhm, are you sure you want to put your health in this man’s hands?
